Kenneth Fine
Dr. Kenneth Fine believes people should
maintain not only physical wellness, but also
mental, emotional, and spiritual health as
well. This approach to medicine is called
holistic health maintenance.
He began his career as a full time
intestinal researcher in 1992, and his greatest
interest is in intestinal physiology,
nutrition, and diseases of altered intestinal
immunological function.
In addition to developing new and innovative
diagnostic tests for patients with chronic
diarrheal disease, he has developed a focused
interest and expertise in two syndromes:
gluten-sensitive enteropathy (also called
celiac sprue) and microscopic colitis.
Dr. Fine serves his patients and support
groups of patients as an advisor and as a
clinician. He is the founder of Finer Health
and Nutrition, a service whose mission is to
"improve the intestinal and overall health and
nutrition of as many people as possible."
In addition to his medical work, Dr. Fine is
a singer-songwriter/guitar player, and recently
he recorded 25 of his original songs. These
songs are now available on two CD's and all
proceeds from the sale of these CDs will be
donated to support the not-for-profit public
health organization he started in 2000:
The
Intestinal Health Institute and to
support other service organizations as
well.
"My life is fully committed to public
service, and I want as many people as possible
to enjoy the wonderful health that I have
experienced since adopting a positive,
health-oriented lifestyle. I believe that
happiness through music (or by any means) is an
important part of health," says Dr. Fine.
Dr. Fine is also offering his music CD's to
public service organizations to sell as a fund
raiser. He also plans musical performances as
benefit shows with other music recording
artists, and is putting together a group of
professional musicians willing to work in a
spiritual light to share their musical gifts
with t he world for a healthy cause.
Although Dr. Fine will be bringing his
musical hobby to the public in this way, his
professional health work, i.e., heading the
Intestinal Health Institute and EnteroLab
laboratory, public speaking, answering the
public's email inquiries, helping people
individually by phone, and doing medical
research and scientific publishing, will
continue unabated, he says.
Dr. Fine performs under the name Kenny Jude.
"To ensure that my desire to share my music
with the public does not interfere with my
ability to carry out my public health mission,
I have opted to use my biblical name, Jude, for
my musical last name," he said. You can hear
song clips and read the stories behind his
lyrics by visiting him online at http://www.kennyjude.com.
