Now I've read of a mom and dad that tested negative, but have a daughter diagnosed with celiac? How can that be? | | DR. FASANO: The folks at GIG are right: if HLA DQ2/8 are not present in either mom and dad, the children will not inherit these genes and, therefore, cannot develop celiac disease. |
